In this opening sequence there is a man driving a van with a young girl sitting next to him. They are going after a girl that is running in the forest. This sequence falls under the genera of thriller.
When the camera is shooting scenes in the van, it's positioned in the back seat of the van so we see the characters from the back and it's also recording hand held, that means that the camera is shaky. It gives us a feeling that we are in the van with the characters. Then there is a close up at the GPS on the girls phone which she is using to track the girl that is running in the woods. Also in some scenes we can see the camera facing the characters (in the van) from the front, it's shooting from a low angle as a close up.
When the camera is recording the girl running in the forest it's moving with her, the camera captures her in a mid shot. (we can see the background and the girl from head to knees). then there is a close up on her as she is looking which way to go. We can see, that she's confused, lost and scared even just by looking at her movement and facial expression.
There is even a shot of just the van driving past fast prom a high angle on a small hill. Then the camera focuses on the path that the scared girl is running on.
When the man and the other girl get out of the van. There are multiple different shots. First the camera is shooting from a high angle on a small hill and moving in the same direction as the characters and then the camera is shooting them from inside the van as they run up the small hill infant of them.
The scared girl trips over into a big puddle, she gets very dirty...the camera is shooting as well as from the front as it is from the back. She then runs and sits beside a tree... the camera was already steadily positioned there
As the two other characters run towards her the camera focuses on a corps, which is the scared girl, but only she's dead now. The camera then zooms toward the two characters arriving at the location. They look very disturbed by what they see.
The music in this scene is non-diegetic. It plays quite quietly in the background. The tempo is quite fast and it's also very intense and uneasy.
